Dave Knows: Portland

There’s a new Oregonlive.com blog aimed at the Portland-area recreational soccer player and fan: Kick It PDX.

Not even two months old, it’s already established itself as a great resource for finding pick-up games, tournament information, and skills training (and that’s just the last three posts).

The blogger is Erika Kirkland; here’s an explanation of what she hopes to accomplish (from her first post):

Welcome soccer lovers! I’m starting this blog to bring the soccer community closer. My intentions for this blog are to provide a brief history of the sport (worldwide as well as in our lovely town of Portland), announce pick-up games, help teams find players (and players find teams), talk about where upcoming games are televised, and whatever else you can think of that’s related to the sport.

Those sound like worthy goals (no pun intended).
