Timbers news continues to materialize, despite the season ending weeks ago.

Sign up for 2008 full-season tickets and get a slice of Timbers history. The first 100 fans who purchase prior to December 1 will recieve a wood slab from Timber Jim’s famous pole at PGE Park autographed by 2007 Timbers players.

The Portland Tribune has some notes today about the Portland vs. Toronto FC exhibition match 5pm this Sunday at PGE Park.

And I think all dead horses need additional beating occasionally . . .

The New York Times soccer blog, GOAL, posted Thorny Interview in the Rose City, about the infamous Canzano interview with the Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber when he was in town last week to talk with Merritt Paulson about bringing MLS to Portland. The post and many of the blog comments are a refreshing contrast to the derisive tone and thrust of the interview and the post and comments on Canzano’s blog.
