December 13: Amnesia Winter Beer Festival

December 11, 2008 by Dave 1 Comment

Didn’t get enough winter beer last weekend? Amnesia Brewing (832 N Beech St) is here to help. The Amnesia Winter Beer Festival starts at noon, Saturday the 13th.

$16 gets you in, a glass souvenir mug, and four drink tickets (additional tickets are $1). Event proceeds go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation.

On to the beer . . . The Beer Here has some details. But my friend Brent lives almost next door to Amnesia; he got the list of beers for me. Below is the list with a few of his notes:

Caldera: Old Growth Imperial Stout 8.8%

Double Mountain: Fa, La, La, La, La 7.5% (dry hopped with Centennials)

Laurelwood: Vinter Varmer 6.4%

Lucky Lab: Scottish Holiday Ale

Roots: Festivus

Alameda: Papa Noel’s Olde Ale 7.2%

Salmon Creek: Salmon Claus 8.4%

Walking Man: Walktopus 8.8%; My Old Kentucky Home 10+% (Aged 4 months in bourbon barrels)

Rogue: Glen Strong Ale

Hopworks: Abomination

Lompoc’s 5th Quadrant: 2007 Holiday Cheer 8.3%; Vanilla Porter

And Amnesia with an impressive array.

Impale Ale 7%
Sleigh Jerker 8.2%
Frosty’s Revenge 8%
Kuykendel Pilsner
And a Stout!
