BBC news profiles Portland’s Green Microgym

The Green MicrogymAdam Boesel’s Green Microgym (1237 NE Alberta Street) has already made local news due to its innovative re-use of exerciser-generated energy. Now the BBC has come for a visit:

The Green Microgym in Portland, Oregon, aims to be a carbon neutral exercise facility through the use of solar power and human-generated energy from clients as they pedal and run.

“The big challenge has been finding the right equipment and adapting the technology,” says Adam Boesel, the gym owner.

    I think if you’re going to exciercise by going to a gym, this is THE best place to go! You get the same excercise, while also helping the earth! It’s a winwin!
