Surviving the PSU Farmers Market

Posted on 09 April 2009

Our PDX Network’s Metroknow (no relation) has a bunch of great survival tips for visitors to the PSU Farmers Market. Here’s one of the tips I can say an Amen to, despite my atheism:

We don’t bring the pre-global warming V12 quad-cab double-wide 128oz. soda-bucket holding, fossil fuel drilling and self-refining, “hey let’s go for a bouncy run with a gurgly goopy infant!” mega-stroller (though we do still have one, for which the HD-DVR Infrared GPS XM portable satellite indentured contract doesn’t expire until 2016)

  1. Thanks for the shout-out! He needs to do more of these kind of top ten lists, doesn’t he?

Betsy – As top ten lists go, it’s one of the more entertaining – and useful!

Apparently I’ve never run into him at the Saturday Market – I don’t ever recall overhearing the words “please” or “thank you” in all of my travels through there. Then again, it’s hard for me to stick around long – I suffer from severe bouts of claustrophobia once I’m within 2 to 3 blocks of the thing. My fault, not Saturday Markets (though the double wide strollers obviously don’t help).
