OMSI is not for the apiphobic

Posted on 01 November 2009

Until I watched this video, I did not know I was apiphobic.

Now I do.

Volunteers from the Portland area offered their services, wearing a beard of live honeybees at OMSI on Halloween, while Canadian honeybee expert John Gibeau talked about what makes honeybees special during his visit to Portland. Gibeau works with honeybees in the film industry using his expertise on films such ‘Wicker Man’ starring Nicolas Cage.

Tim also maintains a very entertaining personal blog: By the beard of Zeus

Update: And here’s another take on the OMSI apiphobia event, from Brewcaster: Beard of Bees
