The Black Panthers have a rich and important history in Portland—this new comic from the Dill Pickle Club tells their story.

Artist Khris Soden and writer Sarah Mirk are proud to debut the fourth installment in the Oregon History Comics series work after spending months researching, writing and drawing the 40-page work.

At the launch, local Black Panther Party founder Kent Ford will give a short talk about his experiences within the party and historian Jules Boykoff will discuss the relationship between media and the Panthers in Portland.

The presentation takes place at Reflections/Talking Drum (446 NE Killingsworth) from 4pm to 6pm.
