The Multnomah Village street fair and parade features a larger Kid Zone, the annual Dog Wash, and of course a car free village featuring vendors, music, and a beer garden!

July 17: Pix Patisserie’s 2010 Bastille Day Celebration

The North Portland Pix Patisserie will, of course, be offering french pastries. Next door neighbors Lompoc will be hosting a beer garden, there will also be ice cream, a 60 pound Carlton Farms roasted pig, and a Champagne and Oyster Bar!

July 10: Bastille Day Festival in the Pearl

The Fête de la Bastille commemorates the storming of the Bastille Prison on le quatorze juillet, 1789. In Portland we celebrate with the 6th Annual Portland Waiters Race, musical acts, French food and wine and a themed market, a Jardin of Wine and Beer, pétanque demonstrations and lessons, and a singing of La Marseillaise.

To a lot of us, First Thursday means avoid the Pearl District. But what if instead of a possible glass of wine and some grapes and cheese at stodgy art galleries, you could get a specialty cocktail at a multitude of bars? Wouldn’t that make First Thursday fun? We are in luck!
