Mississippi Avenue Street Fair 2008

July 13, 2008 by Dave 4 Comments

I make a point of attending as many street fairs and festivals as I can and the Mississippi Avenue Street Fair is always one of the best. This year’s was no exception.

We found some great prices on items from Sameunderneath (915 North Shaver), enjoyed award winning BBQ, imbibed too many Mango-ritas at Crow Bar (3994 N Mississippi), and sat on our deck sipping sangria while listening to bands including The Shaky Hands and Lifesavas.

I am so jealous! I wanted to make it to the fair but the heat kept me at my house, not to mention my homework :/

VF – It was a great fair again this year. The Alberta Street Fair is also a good one; last year it was in mid-September so I assume it will be again this year . . .

I Googled the Alberta Street Fair, found http://www.albertastreetfair.com/, but sadly Sept 15th was a Saturday in 2007. Looks like no info for 2008 yet.

Wish we lived on the eastside instead of west of the suburbs!
