The 1st Annual Cider Festival at the Portland Nursery’s Annual Apple Tasting Event takes place this weekend and next, October 10-11 and 17-18.
The apple tasting event, as I’ve mentioned before, is a fantastic festival in its own right. But launching a simultaneous cider festival is a stroke of genius!
Oregon’s own Wandering Aengus Ciderworks of Salem is hosting the festival within a festival. In addition to their own ciders, the following ciderworks, from all over the country, will be participating:
AEppel Treow Winery – Wisconsin
Bellwether Cider – New York
Black Star Farms – Michigan
Blue Mountain Cider – Oregon
Carlton Cyderworks – Oregon
Docs’ Hard Cider – New York
Douglass Valley – Michigan
Eve’s Cidery – New York
Farnum Hill Cider – New Hampshire
Flag Hill Farm – Vermont
Foggy Ridge Cider – Virginia
Fox Barrel Cider – California
Good Harbor Winery – Michigan
Harbo Cidery – Minnesota
Irvine’s Vintage Cider – Washington
JK Scrumpy – Michigan
Red Barn Cider – Washington
Robinette’s – Michigan
Thomas Family Winery – Indiana
Tieton Cider Works – Washington
Two Rivers Cider – California
Uncle John’s – Michigan

Hi Dave, Do you know the details of this festival for 2010? thanks!
Dave says
Howdy KandN – Not a lot of details available yet, but the 2010 Portland Nursery Apple Tasting event takes place October 8-10 and 15-17. And Wandering Aengus looks like they’ll be showing up for the 2nd annual Portland National Cider Festival!
