Update: 2011 Festival of Zappadan
The Festival of Zappadan extends from December 4, the anniversary of Frank Vincent Zappa‘s death, to December 21, his birthday.
Visit Zappadan.com and The Aristocrats throughout the festival (and visit The Aristocrats archive to find Zappa-blogging from previous years – this archive page, for example, features much of last year’s festival). For more background information, iVoryTowerz has a good explanation and history of the festival.
The festival is a creation of Zappa fans in the blogosphere, and runs virtually from Dec. 4 (the date of FZ’s death) until Dec. 21 (the date of FZ’s birth). So you see, the end of Zappadan is neigh. Best to dig through that vinyl collection for Hot Rats or Weasels Ripped My Flesh, and quickly.

Harmonika Savingsbonds says
Oh, Frank.
I was listening to Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention while all my peers were fascinated with something called the Beatles, whoever they were.
I miss Frank more than I could ever imagine.
