This festival began last weekend (sorry I dropped the ball!) but continues through Sunday, April 18th, so you still have a chance to catch several of the events.
The 6th annual Hearing Voices story telling festival takes place this week, from Sunday, April 11th through Sunday, April 18th. This event is hosted by the Washington County Cooperative Library Services as part of National Library Week.
Life, legends, history and folk tales come alive through the magic of storytelling.
There are 14 performances over the 8 days of the festival (still 9 left, Thursday-Sunday!).
This year National Library Week will be celebrated with the theme, “Communities thrive @ your library.”
The festival features four professional storytellers/ensembles: Willy Claflin (San Francisco, CA), Nuestro Canto (Beaverton, OR), Brody Theater (Portland, OR) and Oregon Shadow Puppet Theatre (Portland, OR).
Admission is free to all the events, which take place at a bunch of different venue. Visit the website for more information about the festival, the performance schedule, and the workshop.
