The 2010 Bite of Oregon celebrates the food and wine of Oregon at Waterfront Park, Friday through Sunday, August 6 through 8.

The 2010 Fremont Festival takes place Saturday, August 7th on NE Fremont between 42st and 50th.
Presented by the Beaumont Business Association, the Fremont Fest features a parade, fun runs, a fashion show, live music, horse and wagon rides, a homemade salsa challenge, and of course local artisans and vendors. [more]
The 11th annual Iranian Festival takes place Saturday, August 7 in the South Park Blocks by PSU from 10am until 6pm.

Sunday
Sunday morning, August 8th 2010 the 15th annual Bridge Pedal takes place on and around downtown Portland’s bridges. This is the one day each year you can bike across the Marquam or Fremont bridges without breaking your neck or the law.
Register online or at a number of local bike shops. There are several rides to choose from: the 10 bridge, 36 mile ride; the 7 bridge, 23 mile ride; the 5 bridge, 11.5 mile ride, or the 3 mile and two bridge Kids Pedal. [more]
