The Portland edition of the Three-Minute Picture Show film festival takes place August 21st, 2010 at the Clinton Street Theater (2522 SE Clinton).
The Three-Minute Picture Show is a 30 day, 3 minute film making project where participants sign up and commit to spending the month of July creating a 3 minute masterpiece, then experience the glory of watching it on the big screen in front of a live audience!
The festival has two parts:
The Twinkling To-Do – a film screening fof family-friendly films made by 6-18 year olds. Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for kids 18 and under. There’s a dress code: Creative Black Tie Meets Halloween. Doors open at 3pm, and the screening starts at 4pm.
The Black Tie Gala & Film Screening – Like the Oscars for the rest of us! Here’s your chance to wear that old bride’s maid dress or bust out your finest thrift store black tie attire. This is the grown up version of the Three-Minute Picture Show (i.e. no recommended for kids under 18). Doors open at 5pm, screening begins at 7pm. Admission is $10 for adults. If you insist on bringing kids 18 or under, it’ll cost $5 to get them in.
