The latest edition of Cort and Fatboy‘s Midnight Movie takes place Friday, October 1st at the Bagdad Theater (3702 SE Hawthorne). The film is a doozie: The Lost Boys!
Before “24,” Before “Speed 2,” Before “Dream a Little Dream,” Kiefer, Jason and the Corey’s gained large amounts of fame by baring fangs and trashing Santa Clara, CA, a town that would be a wonderful place to stay if it weren’t for all the damned vampires.
Before “Batman and Robin,” Joel Schumacher made “The Lost Boys,” A glossy, glitzy, slick little teen movie about what happens when the cool kids in town happen to be undead freaks of nature. Maybe Schumacher’s taken a few hits since, maybe glued a few too many rubber nipples onto a superhero suit or two, but he jammed “The Lost Boys” full of memorable moments, including pretty much everything The Frog Brothers do, and of course, the unforgettably oily saxophone player controlling the stage at the local Santa Clara nightspot.
The doors of the Bagdad open at 10pm, film begins at 11pm. Admission is only $3, and you have to be 21 or over.
