The 2010 Portland Humanist Film Festival takes place October 8 through October 10 at the Clinton Street Theater (2522 SE Clinton).
Portland Humanist Film Fest (PHFF) is a secular cinematic event where Humanists, Atheists, Agnostics, Skeptics, Freethinkers, and the curious from the Northwest and beyond can gather, mingle and share in an exciting and stimulating atmosphere.
The festival films featured include Cheat Neutral, The Cult of the Suicide Bombers, Letting Go of God, the Portland premier of Creation – The True Story of Charles Darwin, and as part of the Friday Night Opening Gala: Life Of Brian (the festival organizers ask you to dress as your favorite Life of Brian character – prizes will be given for the best worst costume!).
This is a free event, so arrive early – no tickets and no seat saving!
Do you know why it’s free? Because humanists are pro human and pro reason. Oh, and also thanks to the generous underwriters (Center for Inquiry, Freethinkers of PSU, and Humanists of Greater Portland) and sponsors (including Old Wives’ Tale, Vinnie’s Pizza, St. Johns Booksellers, Just Out, and others).
