Cort and Fatboy’s Midnight Movie: Planes, Trains & Automobiles (5-November-2010)

November 2, 2010 by Dave 1 Comment

Planes, Trains & AutomobilesThe Cort and Fatboy Midnight Movie for November is Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

Prepare yourself for the Thanksgiving Holiday the correct way. With dread, and annoyance, and maybe the sharpest dialog John Hughes ever wrote, delivered by the genius of John Candy (R.I.P) and Steve Martin.

Maybe it’s not the most sentimental holiday movie. Maybe it’s not the most heartwarming. But it’s one of the most honest, and definitely one of the most hilarious, and we’re inviting you to come and feast on cinematic greatness with us.

Join Cort and Fatboy on Friday, November 5 2010 at the Bagdad (3702 SE Hawthorne). Doors open at 10pm, film begins at 11pm. Admission is only $3, and you have to be 21 or over.

Listen to the show on Cascadia.FM on Thursday to find out how to download a podcast commentary of the movie, featuring commenters and frequent guests of the show Mike Russell (The Oregonian, CulturePulp.com) Dave Walker (Writer/Director, Badazzmofo.com) and Erik Henriksen (Senior Editor, Portland Mercury).

I think the movie “Due Date” also is released this day, it’s a similar story with Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, from the producers of “The Hangover” – it looks equally as funny!!
