The Oregon Distillers Guild presents T.O.A.S.T.: The Oregon Artisan Spirit Tasting, an opportunity to taste the incredible variety of craft spirits being produced in Oregon and around the country, all in one location, this Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Tiffany Center (1410 SW Morrison) from 4pm to 9pm.
The Oregon Bartenders Guild will be on hand, mixing and pouring samples of cocktails featuring local spirits. This will allow show attendees to experience how some of the spirits being tasted at T.O.A.S.T. can be used in actual cocktails. As the bartenders mix their drinks, they will also be discussing the hows and whys of the techniques they are using, making this an opportunity for the public to learn about the art and skills involved in mixing cocktails.
The guest of honor, Mayor Sam Adams, will speak at 5:30pm. 40-60 distilleries will be on hand, distillers and owners pouring samples and answering questions. Entrance is $40 at the door (you get a commemorative Oregon Distillers Guild tasting glass) and proceeds support the Oregon Distillers Guild.
