The 12th annual Portland Iranian Festival takes place Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 10am until 5pm in the South Park Blocks by PSU, adjacent to the farmers market.
This is a great opportunity to spend a few hours together, enjoy a beautiful summer day with friends and families, listen to lively Iranian music, dance, play games, taste delicious Iranian cuisines, and more . . .
As always we have special activities for kids, a book fair, local business exhibits and nonprofit tents. This year the festival will be hosting our Peace Corp friends from all over the US. We will showoff Iranian costumes from across Iran. Our friends at the Iranian-American Professional Society (IAPSO) will recognize our outstanding students for their educational initiatives in the Portland Metropolitan area.
Entertainment includes musical performances by Iman Sani and Mostafa Khagnegar, dances by the Delshodeh Group, and more, including local talent.
