The 25th annual Fremont Fest takes place this Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 10am to 5pm.
NE Fremont between 42nd and 52nd will be pedestrian-only all day, to make room for a full schedule of events, including a kids and pets parade (10am to 10:30am, starting at Beaumont Middle School), a kid zone, and craft and food vendors. [more]

Portland’s answer to MST3K, the 7th Planet Picture Show, is back this Sunday, August 7, 2011, at new venue: the Curious Comedy Theater (5225 NE MLK).
