Soccer City USA: The Portland Timbers and the NASL Years, 1975-1982, the newest exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society, kicks off on April 15, 2011 (the day after the Timber’s home opener!).

In celebration of the Timber’s exciting first match, the Oregon History Museum is opening Soccer City USA, an exhibit that tells the story of the original Portland Timbers team. The exhibit will provide an inside look into the club’s history, profile well-known players and coaches and display a collection of photos, videos, equipment, uniforms and other memorabilia and ephemera unmatched in a single collection.

The exhibit runs through September 4, 2011.
