If you’re not traveling to Seattle, er Tukwila, you can listen to the game on PortlandTimbers.com (7pm kickoff).

If the Timbers win they face Chivas USA, current team of the despised Preston Burpo!

Happy hours in Portland

June 25, 2007 by Dave Knows 1 Comment

It’s easy to find happy hours in Portland, with several local sites dedicated to the subject. In particular Bar Fly and Unthirsty.

My favorite is UrbanDrinks.com.

The happy hour time charts (downtown‘s for example) make it easy to map out your drinking travels throughout the day.

But my favorite feature is the user submitted pub crawls. I even created one myself: Milwaukee Ave: Powell to Bybee.

Turtlefox logoCheck out Turtlefox.

Yeah, it’s another social networking site. But it’s less crappy than MySpace and less idiosyncratic than Facebook. Plus it’s easy enough to figure out that I’ll bet grandma could even use it.

(It also happens to be the brainchild of a former co-worker, Geoff, and his brother)

Budvar, a.k.a. ‘Czechvar’ available on tap in the Rose City!

Budvar draftIt’s hard to find the original ‘Bud’ in a bottle, much less on tap; but now we have it . . . apparently only at a couple places so far:

  • Jimmy Mak’s, 221 N.W. 10th Ave; 503-295-6542
  • The Blue Monk, 3341 S.E. Belmont St.; 503.595.0575
