The Victory finally got their first goal ever against the Timbers, going up 1-0 early, but Cameron Knowles equalized and David Hague came in as a second half sub to give the team a hat trick and an emphatic win.
Despite having played fewer games than the other top clubs, the Timbers are the points leader.
However, a full half of the team’s 30 points have come against the woefully outmatched California Victory, and tonight’s game was the last time the teams will meet this season. Of the Timbers remaining 14 games, 9 are on the road.
This (Thirsty) Thursday the Timbers take on the Vancouver Whitecaps at PGE Park. The game is being televised on Fox Sports Northwest.
