The Portland Juggling Festival returns to Reed College (3203 SE Woodstock Blvd) this weekend, September 26-28th. The Juggling and Vaudeville Extravaganza will once again be held at Benson Tech (546 NE 12th), Saturday at 7pm.
The Portland Juggling Festival is the largest regional juggling festival in the United States, with jugglers from around the world and down the street joining together to share their knowledge and show their skills. We have performers, hobby jugglers, and beginners joining together for a two and a half days of throwing. Expect a big show Saturday evening, workshops for beginning, intermediate, and advanced jugglers, and vendors of every variety of juggling prop.
Friend-of-the-blog Lesley attended last years extravaganza and came away impressed:
Most of the acts were entertaining; some were quite impressive, some quite funny. Those that I would use other, less positive, descriptors were at least short.

Juggling festival? Vaudeville extravaganza? Holy snappin’! Does the fun EVER stop in Portland? Really, does it? And will there be beer at this festival?

XUP – There are lots of fall festivals around here; the Polish Festival is also this weekend, in addition to another Oktoberfest. And then the following weekend there’s the Greek Festival and the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival!
I don’t think there’s any beer at the juggling festival; it’s more of a workshop/convention. But there will be plenty at the Polish Fest 😉
