In August I posted a list of places to watch English (and world) soccer in Portland. Readers augmented my cursory list in the comments, and now that post has become something of a popular resource for local soccer fans.
But other than a reference to Piazza Italia showing World Cup games in Timberbickle’s comment, the Lega Calcio received nary a mention by me, or by my commenters.
An excellent resource, Live Soccer TV, maintains a list of Serie A broadcasts, but if you want to cheer your team on shoulder to shoulder with people who won’t assault you for wearing a Materazzi kit, where can you go?
Caffe Umbria (303 NW 12th) shows Seria A games Saturday at 11:30am and Sundays at 7:30 and 11:30am.
Any one know of other places in town to watch Italian soccer?

I wouldn’t imagine this would be too much of a problem what with Fox Soccer Channel showing as many as four live Serie A matches per weekend. But if you *must* have Italian food while you watch, consider Piazza Italia and Allora Caffe in the Pearl and, probably, Costello’s on NE Broadway.

I’ve been in Beulahland and seen Seria A games up on their projection screen.

Timberbickle, markovitch – Thanks for the comments. I figure any place that has FSC running will show the Serie A games that are broadcast. I’ve not checked out Caffee Umbria yet . . .

Costello’s Travel Cafe in the Lloyd District would be another location. Might be wise to call first but they do promote games in the weekly e-mail updates they send out.
