A small film festival 20 miles out of town would not normally garner any attention from this blog, but one of the selections for the Washougal Film Festival (who knew?) is Portland film maker Mike Vogel‘s The Waiting List.
The Waiting List, a grown up comedy about parenting was produced, directed, and filmed in Portland, and stars Portland actors. Voodoo Doughnuts even makes an appearance.
The film will be screened Thursday, August 13th at 7pm, and if you show up a little early you get some freebies:
1. A Free movie (and you’re supporting local, independent filmmaking–not to mention being one of the first people in the Portland area to see The Waiting List). And you can rub elbows with the director (um, okay, me) and some of the actors (like Audrey Walker and Amanda Englund) who will be doing Q&A after.
2. A Free Voodoo Doughnut (and you’re supporting your body’s need to creatively ingest sugary goodness).

Wow, an entire post, thanks Dave! This is like my version of a Vanity Fair cover story. Only I don’t get to pose partially naked.
(Please, no photoshopping from ZehnKatzen).
