Rock on Portland. Of course in Canada you don’t have to be a medical marijuana patient; however, you DO have to an outdoor patio to smoke because all our restaurants are smoke-free.

XUP – When marijuana is finally decriminalized in the USA, I suspect Portland will be on the forefront!
Since January, our bars and restaurants are smoke free too. (This is an improvement for most, but the cigarette smoke hid some funky odors in some places . . .)
Nick, RobertWagner – In the meantime there’s always the local neighborhood bar. Beer tastes better anyway.

Dave, good point about the smoke… Even though I’m a smoker (insert guilty feelings here) I’m very happy with the smoke free laws but you couldn’t be more correct about the “new” smells that some bars are emitting. I used to frequent The Lotus downtown on 3rd quite a bit but not so much anymore for that very reason – apparently nicotine is less offensive to the nostrils than their newly uncovered smell… which I can only guess is… pee.
