Welcome to a special Wednesday edition of the Portland Timbers Roundup.
Though traditionally on Friday, I’ve already gathered enough news and bloggage this week for a roundup, plus I want to remind all Portland Timbers supporters to consider attending the Portland City Council Meeting at 2pm today, Wednesday, January 27th, to support MLS to PDX.
After the meeting, head on up to the Bitter End Pub (1981 W Burnside), which is graciously hosting a post-meeting party. See you there!

I’m not exactly sure when (or why) I decided to sign up for the Portland Timbers open tryout. It was most likely, a quick, “why the heck not” kind of thing. But, it actually did fall in to the theme of my 2010 resolutions: try a few new things here and there. [More]
My Portland Timbers Tryout by Doug Zanger by Zanger at OurPDX
This past weekend was my tryout for the Portland Timbers. As mentioned before, there were a few things that were standing in the way of my potential run for glory — mostly my age: 40. [More]
