It was flattering to have my blog profiled in The Oregonian last week; Who’s up on the odd and offbeat? Dave knows . . ., but one small inaccuracy in the article stuck in my craw:
Strom, 39, who works for a software company doing something called quality assurance, always has been a natural tour guide for his friends and loved ones.
You see, the thing is, I’m only 38! This is a very important distinction because I like to think I’m in my late mid thirties. 39 would be late thirties, which I’m not quite ready to accept!
Fortunately the record has been corrected, as the highlighted text below shows:
Jake says
Um, 37 was the cutoff for mids. Sorry Dave. 😉

I’m going to write a letter to the editor demanding yet another correction on your next birthday.
–Someone in his late 30’s

I read that and knew you were older than me… but damn!

Dave says
Jake – I’m hanging on with my finger nails.
mike – Thanks you! We need more civic minded folks like you!
Nick – I know, it’s a travesty!
Steve says
I’m glad this whole issue has finally been sorted out.
