Offbeat Belly DanceOffbeat Belly Dance

Every third Friday of the month, from 7 to 9pm, the Blue Monk (3341 SE Belmont) hosts the Offbeat Belly Dance collective, a club rocking, good timing, genre-defying gang of badass belly dancers.

Portland’s Filmed by Bike film festival takes place this Friday through Sunday, April 16-18, at the Clinton Street Theater (2522 SE Clinton).

The festival kicks off Friday night with a street party on Clinton Street in front of the theater from 5:30pm to 11pm. The street party includes a beer garden and entertainment and a raffle (cash only for these!). [more]

The 6th annual Hearing Voices story telling festival takes place this week, from Sunday, April 11th through Sunday, April 18th. PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers open the 2010 USSF Division-2 Pro League season Saturday as they play host to the Rochester Rhinos at PGE Park at 7 p.m. For the seventh time since 2001, the Timbers open the regular season at home. [more]

Portland Pinbrawl 2010 takes place Sunday, April 18th at Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade (511 NW Couch). Match ups start at 11am.

Grand Prize is a Williams’ Johnny Mnemonic Pinball Machine, and cash and assorted sundries go to other top finishers. [more]
