LebowskiThe Cort and Fatboy Midnight Movie presents The Big Lebowski

Celebrate the 5th anniversary of el Cinco de Lebowski this Friday, May 7th, with the Cort and Fatboy Midnight Movie for May: The Big Lebowski. . .

The doors of the Bagdad (3702 SE Hawthorne) open at 9pm, contest begins at 10:45pm, and film begins at 11pm. Admission is only $3, and you have to be 21 or over. [more]

St Johns BizarreSt. Johns Bizarre 2010

The festival kicks off with a parade, featuring Mayor Sam Adams on a float! About 65 venders will be offering every kind of craft you can imagine. Live music is scheduled all day, featuring performances by Sam Densmore (Silverhawk), Michael Hurley, Lewi Longmire Band, Pierced Arrows (ex-Dead Moon), and Explode Into Colors. [more]

National Train DayNational Train Day 2010

National Train Day 2010 takes place this Saturday, May 8th. Portland’s celebration runs from 10am to 4pm at Union Station (800 NW 6th). . .

Trains on display include the Amtrak Cascades Talgo train, and a caboose, but again this year the star attraction is the 110 foot long, 10 foot wide, and 16 foot tall SP 4449. [more]
