Cort and Fatboy’s Midnight Movie for June 2010 takes place this Friday, and it’s a doozie: Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Wanna watch James Cameron take the early 90’s, set it on fire and then explode the hell out of it on the big-screen one more time? You’ll want to be at the Bagdad Theater June 4th, then. Because for the first time in a very, very long time (almost 20 years) Terminator 2: Judgment Day will be screened, in 35mm.
Now, you could say “Forget it” and wander off to a multiplex where you’ll pay about 4x as much cash to see that new Ashton Kutcher flick, or the one where the tubby dude from Superbad has to get the Yahoo Serious lookin dude from Forgetting Sarah Marshall to a concert. OR – you could plunk down 3 bucks, enter the best beer theater on the west coast, and experience what many consider one of the best action movies ever made. AAAAAH! at all the pretty state-of-the-art-1991 Effects. OOOH! at Arnie’s physique. EWWWWW at Linda Hamilton’s physique. YEEEAAH! at the sheer amount of destruction onscreen at any given moment.
The doors of the Bagdad (3702 SE Hawthorne) open at 10pm, film begins at 11pm. Admission is only $3, and you have to be 21 or over.
