I’m a bit hungover, so I’m thinking I might stay in my pajamas all day and watch the World Cup Final at home on Univision.com.
But if you’re feeling less under the weather, you have lots of World Cup Viewing options in Portland.
Netherlands vs Spain kicks off at 11:30am. You can watch it at Pioneer Courthouse Square, free, with thousands of other Portlanders on a huge (17′ x 23′!) LED screen – and there’s a beer garden! If you’d rather watch the match in a more intimate (and cooler!) environ, visit Portland Soccer Bars to find the perfect cafe, restaurant, pub, or bar.
And then to complete your Portland soccer weekend, after the World Cup Final head up to PGE Park. The Portland Timbers U-23s face the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency team at 2pm! Then at 6pm the Portland Timbers host Mexican side Club Deportivo Atlas in a friendly.
