The Hollywood Reporter takes a look at Oregon’s gloomy skies and the state’s film production incentives in a recent article by Todd Longwell: Made In Oregon.
The article begins with Leverage producer Dean Devlin sharing his fondness for the local atmosphere:
“We shoot the show digitally and that cloud cover is almost like hanging a beautiful silk above our lights,” he says of the action-drama, which stars Timothy Hutton as the leader of a gang of high-tech crooks who steal from the wealthy and corrupt. “It really gives us rich and beautiful colors.”
Oregon’s film production incentives and diversity of terrain are discussed, followed by quotes from several local film folks, including Laika‘s Travis Knight and B-movie legend (and resident of Jackson County) Bruce Campbell.
The Portland Timbers played well Wednesday night (especially Dike Bright and Futty Dansou!), in front of a fantastic Portland crowd, but alas after OT, it came down to penalty kicks . . .
