The Save Our wild Salmon Coalition celebrates 20 years this Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Keen Footwear Headquarters (926 NW 13th, #210) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The coalition of conservation organizations, fishing associations, river groups, and various other advocates, was founded in 1991 to work to restore to restore self-sustaining, abundant, and harvestable populations of wild salmon and steelhead to rivers, streams and oceans of the Pacific Salmon states.
Thursday’s celebration features food and beverages, music by DJ Jimbo, a raffle, and guest speakers including Oregon State Senator Jackie Dingfelder and State Representative Jules Bailey.
And everyone is invited, admission is free!
