The Timbers season is still a few months away, but the anticipation continues to build as new bits of information trickle out.
- The big news, though it’s still not official, is that the ancient carpet in PGE Park is being replaced with FieldTurf. The old stuff might be torn out as early as today. [Update: it’s now official]
- Fox Soccer Channel has announced their 2008 USL broadcast lineup. This is in addition to the 5 games the Timbers have on Fox Sports Net. The Timbers make four appearances in the regular season. The best part is that this includes three road games:
Friday May 30 Portland @ Montreal 5:00 pm
Friday June 27 Portland @ Carolina 5:00 pm
Thursday August 7 Seattle @ Portland 8:00 pm
