The 24th annual Oregon Brewers Festival takes place July 28 through 31 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.

The 2011 beer list is impressive, and 85s beer strong. It’s nice to see more belgian, farmhouse style, and fruit ales – plus plenty of summery wheat beers. Of course there is a plethora of IPAs for the hop heads, as usual. [more]

Portland TimbersPortland Timbers vs. Toronto FC

Toronto FC make their first visit to Jeld-Wen Field this Saturday, July 30, 2011 to take on the Portland Timbers.

Portland most recently beat Argentinian side Independiente in a friendly, 2-0, with goals from Sal Zizzo and Brian Umony. In league play the last weekend the Timbers lost to Columbus 1-0.

Toronto sit at the bottom of the Easter Conference standings, and have lost the last four matches. If Portland doesn’t come away with 3 points, fans will be sorely disappointed.
